Adding and managing Categories

Categories are used to group certain services together, for example:

  • Grooming would have nail clipping, wash and cuts etc
  • Walking can have private or group walks etc

This helps split up your services and makes it easier for the Client to book what they're looking for.




How do I add a category?

  1. Navigate to the Catalogue section by clicking on the Catalogue icon on the side menu
  2. Click the Add dropdown, and then select Add Service Category
  3. Name the Category, add a description if needed and select the colour to identify your services, for instance, in your Appointment Calendar
  4. Click Save


Now you've added Categories, you can go ahead and add Services.



How do I edit existing Categories?

  1. Navigate to the Catalogue section by clicking on the Catalogue icon on the side menu
  2. Click on the 3 vertical dots at the end of the category and select Edit Service Category
  3. Update as necessary
  4. Click Save



How do I remove Categories?

Please note: Services must be removed first before a category can be deleted.


  1. Navigate to the Catalogue section by clicking on the Catalogue icon on the side menu
  2. Click on the 3 vertical dots at the end of the category and select Delete Service Category

Please note: This will archive the category so past appointments are still visible in the Appointment Calendar and Appointments in the Sales section. 

However, all future appointments with this category/service will be cancelled.
